Wyss' Rabbits & More is run by myself, Joshua Wyss, and a friend of mine, Kellie Auen of Auen's Rabbitry. My rabbitry is pretty small right now with only 40 holes or so. I have more holes, just nowhere to put them. I raise Harlequins in the magpie variety only. If I ever have a Japanes it is only to improve on the magpies. I usually have a few other rabbits besides my harlies; as of right now we have a few Satins, 1 Thrianta doe, and some Creme de Argents. We also are playing around with some mixes and currently have a few Satin x Harlies and some Thrianta x Harlies.

How I Got Started

I started raising rabbits for show about 8 years ago, but I have had rabbits since I was 6 (I'm 19 now). My very first rabbit was a Florida White named Thumper. I got him for my birthday from my aunt.

Since that day I have owned more rabbits than I can count, or remember. They have varied in breeds too.

I started with Holland Lops that I bought from my step-sister. From there I have bred  or owned at least one of the following: Belgian Hare, Blanc De Hotot, Californian, Champagne d'Argent, Cinnamon, Dutch, English Lop, Harlequin, Mini Lop, Mini Rex, Netherland Dwarf, New Zealand, Rex, Satin, Silver Marten, Tan and Thriantas.

I have raised Harlequins, mainly magpies, since 2004. Andrea Roob got me started with them and we have worked together to improve the breed up until very recently. Harlies are what keep me going with rabbits, with their great personalities and fun yet frustrating markings.

I have recently begun breeding Creme de Argents as well.

Rabbits have been a major part of my life for many years and I believe that they are going to remain for many years to come.
